A closer look at the print

The artwork presents a vibrant, multi-hued octopus soaking in a classic white tub with gold feet, using a slender tentacle to balance a stemware of red wine. Beside it, a second cephalopod wears black-rimmed eyeglasses and manages a chaotic stack of toilet paper rolls, with one perched atop its head like a hat. The watercolor technique creates soft gradients of blue, purple, and orange across the skin, giving the creatures a delicate yet expressive appearance. These images belong to the genre of anthropomorphic animal art, where marine life is portrayed engaging in specific human hobbies and routines. The composition relies on the visual pun of having eight arms to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, turning a simple bathroom supply into a character trait.
