A closer look at the print

The artwork is arranged in a dense, circular cluster centered on the white fabric. At the top, the word Kentucky appears in elegant black script, while the bottom features a pink ribbon banner reading The Bluegrass State. Scattered throughout the circle are miniature drawings of places like Berea, Covington, Frankfort, and Richmond, mixed with cultural markers such as a horseshoe, a bourbon barrel, and a racehorse. The style mimics a vintage travel poster or a hand-colored sketchbook entry, using soft pastels and fine ink lines to create a busy but organized visual tribute to the state's geography and traditions.
