The phrase acknowledges that your pet is always waiting for scraps near the food prep area. This set of two towels was made for owners who know their dog never leaves the room during mealtime.

The design in detail

One towel features a seated golden retriever beneath bold, mixed-font lettering that reads "WELCOME to the KITCHEN a dog will be with you shortly." A small heart icon separates the main greeting from the playful promise of canine attendance. The second towel depicts a standing golden retriever looking upward with an eager expression, accompanied by the text "EVERY MEAL YOU MAKE EVERY BITE YOU TAKE I'LL BE WATCHING YOU." The typography alternates between block capitals and a casual script style to mimic a handwritten note. These elements combine to illustrate the specific experience of cooking with a vigilant pet nearby.

When it gets used

You might use these towels while preparing a family dinner, finding comfort in the shared joke about your dog's constant supervision. Quick questions

What does the phrase 'a dog will be with you shortly' imply in this context?: The phrase implies that your Golden Retriever is currently occupying the space under the counter or beside your legs, waiting for food. It humorously suggests the dog is on standby duty rather than actually leaving the room. This specific wording captures the breed's tendency to remain physically close to their owner during any activity involving edible items.
Why would this specific design resonate with a Golden Retriever owner?: This design resonates because it accurately describes the intense gaze and proximity that Golden Retrievers maintain during meal preparation. The second towel's mention of watching every bite validates the feeling of being scrutinized by a hungry pet. It appeals to owners who view their dog's begging not as a nuisance, but as a form of affectionate participation in daily life.
How do the two towels work together as a set?: The two towels create a dialogue about the cooking process, with one welcoming the dog and the other describing the surveillance. Using them together emphasizes the continuous nature of the dog's interest in food. This pairing transforms standard kitchen linens into a thematic display that celebrates the golden retriever's enthusiastic involvement in household mealtimes.
