A closer look at the print

The artwork presents a triptych of a golden-coated doodle engaging in distinctly human pastimes within a bathroom setting. On the left panel, the dog sits upright holding an open newspaper, wearing round wire-rimmed glasses that suggest a serious interest in current events. The central image depicts the same breed wrapped in a light blue bathrobe with a matching towel turban on its head, holding a toothbrush in its mouth as if pausing mid-routine. The third scene shows the dog submerged in a white bathtub filled with bubbles, accompanied by a small yellow rubber duck and a wicker basket resting on the rim. The style uses delicate watercolor washes to render the curly fur texture and soft lighting, giving the animals a gentle, lifelike appearance rather than a cartoonish one. This collection belongs to the genre of anthropomorphic pet art, where animals are dressed and posed to mimic human domestic life, creating a charming narrative of a well-cared-for pet enjoying self-care time.
