A closer look at the print

A horizontal band of gray brickwork runs across the bottom edge of the towel, serving as a perch for eight distinct cats. Each feline is depicted from behind, showcasing a variety of coat patterns including ginger stripes, dark brown tabby markings, and sleek black-and-white patches. Their tails hang down over the brickwork in different shapes, some curled and others straight. Tiny pink and gray paw prints are scattered along the mortar lines beneath the cats. The illustration style is cartoonish yet detailed, emphasizing the individual personalities of each animal through their fur patterns. This imagery belongs to the genre of cat humor that celebrates the aloof and observant nature of house cats. The composition creates a unified border that frames the rest of the white fabric, turning a utilitarian object into a playful vignette of feline life.
